Out of Africa
We carry out a lot of repairs overseas, and get jobs sent to us from other countries such as Indonesia, PNG etc. The following pictures jobs received from Africa. These cylinder blocks – some 6 in total [mainly Caterpillar but an odd Komatsu and Cummins] were badly damaged – ALL were successfully repaired. Some 31 crankshafts were also received as part of the shipment [9 of which were unserviceable - balance reconditioned] and 17 Cylinder heads, 3 housings. All cylinder heads were reclaimable - crack tested, repaired, valve guides supplied installed, inserted as required, pressure tested and surfaced, preserved and packed off in export crates.
