Turbine LP Diaphragms

Routine inspection of LP Diaphragms at Power station followed by NDT inspection located several cracks in outer rings - rows 5&6. 3 sections required repairs – with one having 11 minor cracks. In one section a few of the foils or blades sat much closer to the surface – almost breaking through the eroded area. All fractured areas successfully Metalocked and units returned to work
