Extruder Repairs

Emergency repairs were carried out on this Kawaguchi 650T Plastic Extruder. A major rod failure fractured the cast steel end casing causing the customer great production problems. Some 30 off No.4 Metalocks and a high tensile tool steel Masterlock were installed onsite over a 2 day period [With one day preparation]. Works included removal of sleeve prior to repairs, cracktest, and metalock work by 2 technicians’ onsite to full satisfaction of this kitchenware manufacturer. Fracture length approx 300mm Masterlock 1 1/2”W x 2” D x 5”L.
